I have been so busy since my last post. Most of the day tidying, unpacking, adding something to the house, and throwing something from the house as well.
Although most of the things look pretty done, yet still some of the things left undone for long. My husband is still waiting for the people in charge for the windows&blinds department return for work so that we can have our custom measured blinds exchange. About blinds, they are expensive and most of the shops charge pretty high price. At last we decided to order from Bunnings with customized sizes. After much calculations, what price offered by Bunnings is reasonable and acceptable. If you are after reasonable fashionable DIY blinds, you have to visit Bunnings before you make any decision of purchasing from others. I think what Bunnings advertisement mentioned on TV – “Whatever you want, we got it here” works for us. We visit Bunnings at least twice in a week, this is the minimum. Sometimes he visited Bunnings 4 times in a week. This is what most people do if you are doing DIY repairing most of the things in your house.
Till one day I told my husband that it has been quite some time I didn’t really give myself a good treat to go shopping for women stuffs. Look as if I have forgotten long what I need for myself, whether this is sad to hear that, I don’t know. So I decided to ‘crash into’ the crowd on the Boxing Day Sales, but think what, I failed. We were unable to get a parking space as he wasn’t very patient in searching for one, and also he feel so relief everytime I say “alright, go home now”….
The next day on the 27th Dec, I planned to have early dinner and dragged him to Chadstone again at night. We reached there at about 9pm something, and finally I got what I need. Looking at those good bargain with 40-50% off, still, I decided not to have second look as the original price wasn’t cheap enough. So I got myself a discounted luggage from David Jones. We broke our luggage on our Japan trip earlier. Knowing that we shouldn’t bring a ‘huge’ luggage travelling to Japan, but think of budgeting, we decided not to have a new one just for the trip. So we brought our big and heavy luggage to Japan and brought back with broken zip and wheels. This time I got a smaller size luggage with 360degrees turning wheels.
Seems to be a lot to update, but think of all the ‘unfinished’ work, I just have to get myself off from the computer.
Oh yes, I cooked a lot of yummy foods at home during this Christmas holiday. Prawn noodle soup is my favourite, therefore I cooked prawn noodle soup, I made yam cake, I cooked red bean soup, and also I cooked sweet drink with dried longan, lotus seed and red dates.
What is in my mind? Suddenly I was asking myself whether cloth diapers work out well, for both baby and mummy. If it works well for baby, how about mummy? Does mum have more works to finish as more washing need to be done if using cloth diapers. Of course this is economical and environmental friendly, however, more washing is needed and will it contribute to the increase of water bill and electricity? This will leave my options open till one day I find out the solution.
